3 Natural Ways to Unclog Your Drain
Using only water, vinegar, baking soda and a plunger you can easily unclog your drain. Here’s how.
1. Water Pressure
The most natural way to unclog your drain is to fill the tub with water. Water exerts enough pressure to remove any obstacle inside your drain. 30 Gallons of water will put adequate pressure that will dislodge the clog from the pipe. For better effect, pour 1 cup of vinegar and a handful of baking soda 20 minutes before filling the tub to soften the clogged object inside your drain.
2. Vinegar and Baking Soda
Vinegar and baking soda are commonly found in your kitchen. To unclog a drain, pour a handful of baking soda and vinegar into the drain inlet. Cover the inlet with towel to prevent the mixture of vinegar and soda inside your drain from bubbling out. Wait for 30 minutes and then gradually pour a liter of boiling water into the drain inlet. This should unclog your drain.
You can use a plunger if pouring a mixture of vinegar and baking soda in your drain does not remove the clog. After pouring vinegar and baking soda into the drain, pour a gallon of water and position the plunger above the drain inlet, push down and jerk the plunger five times before completely pulling the plunger. Do this a couple of times until your drain pipe is free of clogging.
