Accent pillows can double as beautiful decorations and comfortable cushions, but most aren't machine washable because of the delicateness of the designs. If you need to remove a stain, you can do so in a number of ways.
1. Dry Clean
Some accent pillows are dry clean only. If you want to pay to have the stains removed, you can take the pillows or cases to a dry cleaner's. You can also purchase a dry cleaner kit to use in your dryer at home for a fraction of the cost, although the process may not be as gentle to delicate accents.
2. Spot Wash
You can also spot wash stains on accent pillows with cold water and detergent. Soak a cloth in cold water and ring out the excess water. Dab, don't rub, the stain with the cloth. Then add a bit of detergent to your cloth and dab the stain. Rinse again with another part of the cloth soaked in cold water and allow to dry.
3. Scrub Clean
If the stain persists, you can try to scrub clean the stained area with a bit of baking soda and a bristle brush. Just wet the area with cold water and sprinkle on baking soda. Carefully use the brush to scrub the baking soda into the fibers. Allow to sit for a few minutes or overnight. You can shake or vacuum the soda away.
