4 Project Ideas with Colored Mirror Tiles 4 Project Ideas with Colored Mirror Tiles
Colored mirror tiles are easy to use, and the project ideas are endless. They come in every color imaginable, as well as different sizes and shapes. You can find them online, or at your local craft store. Following are a few to get your creative juices flowing.
1. Lamp Bases
Using the smaller size of colored mirror tiles, cover your lamp bases. All you will need are the colored mirror tiles of your choice, and the glue that is made for the tiles. You might want to try using two or more colors of mirror tiles. When your lamp is on, the reflection of the mirror tiles will illuminate filling your room with a warm glow.
Using the larger size colored mirror tiles in your kitchen give it added light and a bright accent. A splashboard is easy to put up, and easy to keep clean. You will just need to clean them with regular window cleaner to keep them sparkling. Octagonal shaped mirror tiles will give added interest. You can also leave spaces between your tiles and grout around them.
3. Gazing Ball
This is a fun project! Cover an old soccer ball or bowling ball with small colored mirror tiles to create a one of a kind gazing ball for your yard or garden. Work in small areas at a time being sure all of the tiles are glued well to the ball. Any kind of ball can be used as long as at is firm. An inflatable ball is not suggested for this project.
4. Behind the Bathtub
If you have a boring wall behind your bathtub, you can spruce it up using colored mirror tiles. You can draw out an interesting design and use different shapes and colors to put it on your wall. For a few ideas, maybe make a cityscape behind your tub making different height buildings out of mirror tiles, or perhaps just add round tiles to look like bubbles behind your bathtub. You could also use them to simply cover the whole wall and brighten up this small space.
