About Bifold Shower Doors

Bifold shower doors are very common in bathrooms with less space and narrow opening to bath tub. A properly chosen bifold shower door can increase the aesthetic beauty of your bathroom to a great extent.

Basic Structure

These doors have 2 panels. The panels are suspended from overhead attachments. They can be moved independently. These doors can be opened by pulling the handles of the panels. Then the panels fold on a hinge. This creates more space for getting in and out of the tub. Panels can be framed or frameless. Framed panels have metal supports and are sturdy. Frameless panels are made of thick glass and have a sleek appearance.

Opening Directions

These doors can open inward, outward or both. Doors opening outward fit well if you have sufficient space available. Doors opening inward may sometimes be uncomfortable when you are in the tub. But it saves more space.

Installation and Maintenance

These doors are easy to install on the track. Dirt can be wiped out easily using any household cleaner. However, sometimes the panels may get twisted because of the way they open and close. But this is not big issues and can be taken care of easily.
