Adjusting a Sliding Miter Saw Adjusting a Sliding Miter Saw
If you have a sliding miter saw, then you can adjust it to fit different sizes of wood into the table, and also to cut different angles. In order to do this, you will have to move the sliding miter saw along the table. This will allow you to position the sliding saw wherever you wish.
Step 1 - Working out the Bevel
Before you can adjust the sliding miter saw, you need to make sure that you know what you want to adjust the saw to. You should be able to work out the angles by examining the bevels on your miter saw. This will allow you to fit the edges of the saw together.
Step 2 - Adjust the Sliding Miter Saw
Take your saw, and secure it to the table. Unscrew the bevel slide, and push the saw up to the right level. You should be able to push this along easily until you have the right bevel. Push your piece of wood into the sliding miter saw, and mark out a piece. It is a good idea to use a spare piece of wood if you are not accustomed to adjusting the saw, in order to ensure that you have the right bevel.
