Whenever you have European hinges installed in any part of your home you may from time to time need to adjust them. This is something that can end up being difficult to do if you do not have the right tools or know how to do it. However, once you have the right tools and knowhow you will really be able to do this easily.

Step 1 – Hinge Arm Screws

If you need to get the hinges adjusted you will be able to do so by adjusting the screws that are on your hinge arm. This will allow you to be able to adjust your door both in and out as well as left and right. Make sure that you go slowly whenever you adjust the screws so that you don’t go too far.

Step 2 – Base Plate Screws

If you want to adjust the screws on your base plate, then you will do this whenever you need to adjust your door up or down. Make sure that you realize that each of your adjustments will have about 2 to 3 mm.

Step 3 – Correct Screwdriver

Make sure that you have the right type of screwdriver for the job.
