When it comes to maintenance, brick paths are much easier to maintain. They require little to no maintenance at all, because of their durability. However, when the time comes that you do need to repair or replace a portion of your bricks, it will be more difficult, because you need to carefully remove the damaged portions and replace them with new bricks. For stone paths, you just need to lift the stone, add a little more foundation underneath and put it back in its place, or simply replace the stone. You just need to make sure that the stone replacement is more or less the same size. Brick paths are therefore easier to handle for everyday maintenance but harder to repair and replace.
