Can I use a power sander for drywall?
A power sander can be used to sand drywall. Most people experienced with sanding drywall will recommend that you utilize a hand sander in most cases. However, power sanders can still be used, as long as you exercise caution and an even pressure. Since drywall is not that thick, do not spend too much time sanding each area. If your drywall features areas that may be harder to reach, or if the wall is relatively large, you may wish to use a power sander known as a swivel-joint pole sander. It is ideal if the sander has a vacuum system installed with it so that you will reduce the amount of dust created during the sanding.
