If you have copper countertops you might wonder what the best manner of keeping them clean is. You don’t have to worry about buying something special or expensive to keep the counters clean when you can normal household products, which are actually better for cleaning a copper countertop. 

Warm Water

The simplest cleaning solution is to use a soft cloth with warm water. This will keep the countertop cleaned on a daily basis.

Lemon and Salt

For more built-up mess or for that extra cleaning, you can use lemon and salt. You can use this method in one of two ways.

The first way is to use a whole lemon sliced in half. Simply dip the exposed part of the fruit into a bowl of salt and then rub along the copper countertop. Wipe off with a clean, soft cloth dipped in warm water. 

The second way to use lemon and salt is to use a lemon juice and salt mixture in the same way. Both ways are effective.

Make a Paste

Another effective cleaning method for copper countertops is to make a paste of ketchup or flour mixed with vinegar and salt. Rub the paste over the counter and then clean with warm water and a soft clean cloth.
