Stucco siding is one of the better versatile and durable exterior finishes. If properly maintained and cared for, stucco siding can stay beautiful and like new for many years to come. Like all things, stucco siding does need periodic cleaning and maintenance.
Stucco Siding Maintenance
It might be a simple painting project or general repair of minor cracks, but maintaining your stucco siding is a routine project. This periodic maintenance is not just necessary for the long life of stucco siding, but it can keep your siding like new for the life of the home.
Stucco Siding Cleaning
Cleaning your stucco siding is as simple as washing the area down, from bottom to top with a hose. Saturate the area to wash away all the dirt and grime built up over a season.
For some stubborn stains or dirt, a soft brush can be used when hand washing. Using a mild detergent should be the last step if the area doesn't come clean with a general spray with the hose or power washer. If a detergent, or soap, is used you must make sure that you rinse the area very good so that all the soap is flushed out of the area.
