Mirror tiles are very convenient and can be used in any room of the house. In addition to being stylish, they are very practical and match any motif or color scheme. They can also be arranged into any configuration, which means they can fit a space of any size. Installing mirror tiles is not difficult, but for a professional-looking finish, you must ensure that the mirror tiles are cut correctly. Here's how to do it.

Step 1 - Measuring for Your Cuts

Measure the dimensions of the piece of tile that you want to cut. Use a grease pencil to mark a straight line on the surface of the mirror.

Step 2 - Preparing to Cut

Gently clamp a straightedge onto the top of the mirror tile. Clamp both sides so that the tile doesn't slip during the cutting. Align your straightedge with the lines you marked.

Step 3 - Cutting the Mirror Tiles

Press onto the mirror tile and run the glass cutter along the straightedge. Apply even and firm pressure with the glass cutter.

Step 4 - Completing the Cut

Once you have etched the tile, remove the clamps. Wear gloves to avoid cutting your hands. Gently bend the mirror along the etching until it snaps.

If that doesn't work, don't force it. Gently tap the outer edge of the scored area with your glass cutter. The outer edge should simply pop or snap off. As a last resort, run a sharp tool along the scoring to break it.
