Do certain types of marble tile cut easier than others? Do certain types of marble tile cut easier than others?
All marble tile is equally as problematic to cut because all types of marble have fault lines that make it difficult to cut. Imagine these fault lines are folds in a sheet of paper. If you try and tear the paper past the fold, then the paper will try and tear up that line as it has the least resistance, regardless of the type of paper. The same principle applies to cutting marble tiles. To make cutting the tile easier, use a wet saw as this will reduce the chance of the marble tile cracking.
