If you're looking for a heating solution for your garage, you'll need to choose between electric or gas garage heaters. Here is how to determine whether an electric heater or gas heater will work best for you.
The current power supply in your garage should guide your choice. If the garage is attached to the house, it will probably have an electric outlet, making an electric heater the best option. Some garages have natural gas lines running to them and in that case a gas garage heater will be best.
Size and Use of Your Garage
The size of your garage will determine which type of heater is more efficient. If your garage is small, choose an electric heater as they are best for small spaces that only need some heat. If your garage is large then pick a gas garage heater. On their packaging, heaters will say the size area they are best for, so don't forget to measure your garage.
Also consider what you are using the garage for. Some gas space heaters can leak and be easily overturned - a bad choice if children will be occupying the garage. If you are using your garage for DIY projects, some electric heaters blow warm air too strongly and could damage your projects.
