Glass Tile Backsplash: 3 Cleaning Tips
Installing a glass tile backsplash provides you with a very elegant backsplash surface that is functional as well. When you have a glass tile backsplash, you want to make sure that you maintain it in order to keep it looking like new. Here are a few tips for cleaning your glass tile backsplash.
Tip 1 - Clean Immediately
When you cook on the stove, you will inevitably splash some food up on the backsplash at some point. When this happens, you should clean the tile as soon as possible. Wipe off any food or liquids that splash onto the backsplash quickly.
Tip 2 - Use Water and Cloth
For regular cleaning of the glass tile, water and a soft cloth will be one of the best things that you can use on it. Just dip your cloth in some warm water and then wipe the tiles down. A soft cloth is great if the glass tile develops a haze on it as well.
Tip 3 - Tile Cleaners
When you have stubborn things that need to be cleaned off of the tile surface, sometimes the water and cloth approach does not work. You can find a commercial tile cleaner that is approved by the manufacturer to use in most cases. This provides a stronger way to clean the tile than simply water.
