Whether it has been affected by stains or the finish has worn away, there are occasions when an acrylic shower pan needs to be refinished. Following a few steps will enable you to complete the process in an environmentally friendly manner.

Step 1 - Clean

Start by cleaning the acrylic shower pan to prepare it for the application of the protective coating. Apply a solution of white vinegar and baking soda to the surface before rubbing it with a sponge. Once the entire surface has been covered, rinse it with clean warm water and leave it to dry.

Step 2 - Apply

Once the surface is dry, apply the bonding agent to the entire surface of the acrylic shower pan with a paintbrush. Ensure you do a thorough job by working methodically, from one end to the other, rather than working in a random manner.

Step 3 - Finish

After the application of the bonding agent, the acrylic coating can be applied to the acrylic shower pan. Check the finish of the shower pan after the acrylic has dried; if you do not consider it even enough, re-apply the bonding agent and coating again.
