Going Green: How to Remove Stains from a Self Rimming Sink Going Green: How to Remove Stains from a Self Rimming Sink

What You'll Need
Baking Soda
Water
Scrub Brush
A self rimming sink is a sink that is also referred to as a drop in or a top mount sink. It is basically placed onto your countertop and has a lip on the outer part of the sink that will sit on the top of your countertop. You can clean the sinks yourself with natural cleaning products instead of harsh, abrasive cleaners.
Materials Needed:
Baking Soda
Water
Scrub Brush
Step 1 – Mix
The first thing that you are going to have to do is get your baking soda and your water mixed together. You will mix 4 tablespoons of baking soda to 1 quart of water. From there, you will mix these 2 until you have a paste.
Step 2 – Apply
You will now apply this paste to the stains and allow them time to set if they are especially stubborn. After several minutes of sitting, you are ready to begin to attempt to remove the stains.
Step 3 – Scrub
Once the paste has had time to set, simply scrub the areas with a scrub brush for a full minute if needed. Rinse the area thoroughly and if needed, repeat this process. Allow mixture to set longer the next time around.
