Hose Bibb Hose Bibb
A locking hose bibb is a good upgrade from the average hose bib. With the ability to lock it you can prevent your kids or other people from using your water. Installing a hose bibb is of moderate difficulty depending on how it’s attached. The steps below will help make the project go faster.
- If you can, try to locate the backside of the valve. By locating the backside you will be able to look at the hose bibb and see how it was installed. There are two ways that the bibb may be installed. It could be soldered on the backside or have a normal thread fitting. If it’s soldered you may have to call a plumber as you would need more than basic tools to complete the project.
- For basic threading, find the back and simply unscrew it. You may need to use a pair of pliers to get it off.
