How to Maintain Vintage Bathroom Sinks

What You'll Need
Non-abrasive cleaning agent
Soft cleaning cloth
Baking soda

When caring for vintage bathroom sinks, the most important thing to remember is to use a cleaning agent that is non-abrasive. Vintage porcelain sink bowls and surrounding tiles are durable, but it's best not to let them get to the point where you have to scrub them clean.

Step 1 - Daily Cleaning

Preventative cleaning is best. Every day, give a vintage sink a quick once-over with non-abrasive soap and warm water. Use a soft rag or sponge.

Step 2 -Stain Removal

Should stains develop, make a paste out of baking soda and water. Add a small amount of white vinegar for tough grime and mildew. Bleach is not advisable unless it is very diluted.
