A pH neutral cleaner is easy to make. pH is the measure of how acidic or basic a solution is. A pH of 7 is neutral. Anything below 7 is acidic and anything above 7 is basic. pH neutral cleaners are better for your skin and other household items. They are also more environmentally friendly. This article will discuss two different pH neutral cleaners that can be made using household ingredients.
1. Dish Detergent
Mix a store-bought pH neutral dish detergent with hot water. Use ¼ of a cup of detergent with 1 gallon of hot water and combine it in a bucket.
2. Vinegar
Another simple homemade cleaner can be made using vinegar. Mix 1 cup of vinegar with 1 gallon of hot water in a bucket. Be sure to use distilled white vinegar.
An all-purpose cleaner made from distilled white vinegar has the added benefit of acting as a disinfectant and is well suited for use in the kitchen and bathroom areas. Rinsing the floor is not necessary. The smell evaporates as the floor dries.
