How do I install a bleed valve on baseboard radiators?

You can install bleed valves on baseboard radiators in several different ways. The best way to go about it is to drain out the fin tube portion of the baseboard and sweat in the bleeder valve’s elbow towards the return side of your baseboard. Most people also use self tapping saddle valves like the ones used for fried water supply or a furnace humidifier, but they tend to break sooner or later, causing damaging leaks. This is because they are not specially designed to hold bleed valves on baseboard radiators.
