Quick Information on Sealing a Basement Window Well to a Concrete Block

Sealing a basement window well to a cement block wall involves sealing the window well’s flange to the wall of the foundation. Dig a hole that is roughly the same size as the window well. Place the well in the hole and push it against the foundation. Mark the position of the holes that are to be used for fastening. Remove the well and drill where you have made the marks. Apply a coat of mastic to the flange of the window well which faces the foundation. Replace the window well in the hole and slide it into place against the foundation wall. Screw it securely into place using the holes that you drilled previously.
