Formica countertops are the economical alternative to many kitchen countertop finishes. They are durable and can withstand a lot of abuse, and so they naturally become the workbench for many homes. If Super Glue dries on your Formica countertop, apply a bit of oil—such as baby oil or even cooking oil—and then use a razor blade to scrape it off. The oil will help prevent scratching, but you must still be careful when using this method. Another solution is to use acetone or a nail polish remover that contains acetone. Put a moderate amount on the Super Glue, and let it sit a while. Try scraping at it a bit to loosen it, and continue this alternating process until the spot of glue has been removed.
