Copper pipe repair is simply done by using the right epoxy. This epoxy mixture is available at your local hardware store. Below are the steps on how to apply this epoxy to the leaky pipe. Follow these steps, and you are sure to have a pipe that's back to normal in no time.
Step 1 - Locate and Check
The first thing you will want to do before applying the repair epoxy is to make sure the leaky area is clean and well dried. Locate the leaky pipe. The epoxy won't adhere well to an overly dirty pipe, and the epoxy won't dry well if the pipe is too wet.
Step 2 - Mix
Take out your newly purchased epoxy repair, and create the solution. The instructions should be included with the solution kit you purchased. Follow those directions on how to mix the solution correctly.
Step 3 - Apply and Let Dry
Now all that's left is to take the epoxy solution and apply it on the crack, as well as the area around where the pipe was leaking. Be generous with the product, and apply a good coating of epoxy. Then wipe off the excess and let it dry.
Now you should have a pipe that is back to new.
