What You'll Need
Tape measure
Deck railing planters (sets of 2)
Soil drainage platforms
Potting soil
Plants

Add adjustable deck railing planters easily to your deck or porch railing. Follow these steps to hang adjustable deck railing planters.

Step 1: Measure Your Deck Railing

Measure the length and top width of your railing to get the number and size of deck railing planters you want. The standard planter fits on a railing up to 6 inches wide.

Step 2: Assemble the Planters

Insert the support arms on each end of the planter. Align the spacing inserts with the holes so it is balanced. Lock the support arms with the hole plugs provided.

Step 3: Place the Deck Railing Planters

Place the deck railing planters around your deck or porch, with a few inches between to encourage flowers to spread.

Step 4: Extend the Base Support

Pull the T-shaped extension out from the back of the planter to level the bottom, and hold it firmly against your deck railing post.

Step 5: Insert the Soil Drainer

Add a perforated soil drainer to each planter. Water can reach the roots while keeping plant stalks dry.

Step 6: Add Potting Soil and Plants

Add potting soil to the recommended depth for the plants, and put your flowering plants into each planter. Water the plants in each planter lightly.
