Step 1 – Prepare
The first thing that you are going to have to do is prepare a budget for this project. Think of the money that you are going to have to spend as the project goes on as well as the money that will be spent afterward. The tricky part of keeping a budget with a swimming pool is that you will also need to make sure that you have enough money for upkeep and maintenance afterward. Step 2 – Recruit
Building a pool is a lot of work. You may want to begin to ask family and friends if they are willing to help you build this pool. The more people that you have help, the easier the project will be, and the faster it will go.

You will have to purchase an in-ground pool kit first. There are several types of kits out there, so make sure that you do your research on them before making a decision. As you are looking over the pool kits, make sure that you know what your layout is going to be. Think about the shape and size of your yard and what layout will work best with it. This will help you to get a better idea of what type of in-ground pool kit you should choose.
Step 4 – Form
It is a good idea for you to go ahead and begin to shape the form as soon as you know what your layout is going to be. In order to do this, you will need to get your stakes and string out and measure out the length and width of your pool.
Step 5 – Excavation
You can hire somebody to excavate for you or you can do it yourself but it is a lot of work and is something that a professional is usually best suited for. If you do it yourself, make sure that you are aware of any pipes that are in your yard.
