If you would like to keep your body fit and at the same time have fun with your family and friends, a square trampoline can be a great addition to your home. It does not matter if the trampoline is square, rectangular or circular, a trampoline generally consists of a body made from steel and a piece of waterproof canvas. Purchase the square trampoline and try to construct it yourself so that you will spare a lot of money.

Step 1 – Assembling the Top Rail

Start constructing your square trampoline by assembling the top rail. Put the holes in a line in top rails that are adjacent to one another. Fix the rails firmly together with screws. Enlist the help of a friend because you may not be able to lift the top rail alone due to its large size.

Step 2 – Fixing the Trampoline Legs

Now it is time to place and assemble the trampoline legs. Make sure to fit the correct end of each leg into each U-shaped base provided. Fix the legs in place with screws. Now attach the trampoline legs to the top rail and put each leg in one of the slots which you can find on the top rail’s underside. Ask someone to help you by lifting the top rail above the ground so that you can work properly.

Step 3 – Installing the Canvas

In order to install the jumping mat of the square trampoline, you need to first lay down the canvas on the ground. Make sure that you put the canvas inside the frame. Now attach each spring into a loop situated on the sides of the canvas mat. Attach another spring by placing the loop into a hook on the trampoline’s frame.

Ask someone to walk to the opposite side of the trampoline and fix the spring there to the trampoline’s frame. Make you sure that you are holding the spring into its place and then repeat the same procedure to the other two sides.

Connect the springs which are halfway between those two which you have just attached so that you will form a square. Attach all the remaining springs on opposite sides of the trampoline until you see that all springs are connected to the trampoline’s frame.

Step 4 – Applying Tension to the Springs

Use the spring tool which is provided along with the trampoline to apply some tension to a spring. You may need one or two persons to assist you here because you will need to keep the canvas jumping mat taut. Repeat the same method by applying tension to the spring located on the opposite side as well as to the springs halfway between the first two. Keep on applying tension to all springs until you see that the jumping mat is taut.

Step 5 – Finishing the Trampoline

Finish the construction of your square trampoline by laying the cover of your canvas mat over the springs and on the outer section of the frame. After laying the mat cover, wrap it beneath the frame and use the straps provided with the trampoline to tie the mat cover firmly in place.
