From time to time, it is a good idea to change your wireless Internet password. Experts recommend that you change your passwords every 6 months or so, no matter what they are used for, so you will need to get access to your Internet password screen in order to change the password.
Step 1 - Access to Administration Page
In order to change the password, you will need to get access to your router's administration page. Do this by inserting your router's Internet Protocol (IP) address into your Internet browser. The IP address will consist of a series of numbers divided by full stops. To find this address, you should look in your router's manual.
Step 2 - Changing the Password
Once you have accessed your router's administration page, you will be taken to a screen where the router will ask you for your name and password. When you have put in this information, there will be a section listing your name and Internet password: go here to change the password.
Step 3 - Forgot Your Username and Password?
If you need to change your Internet password because you forget it, then when you get to the router's admin screen which asks for name and password, put in "Admin" for both sections. If that does not succeed, try "admin" for name, and "Password" as the Internet password.
