Step 1 – Apply Detergent
Remove the dust and debris from the bamboo countertop and prepare the area for washing. Then, use a mild dishwasher detergent diluted in water on the surface of the countertop. If there are stained areas, add salt to these areas to remove the staining. Put some salt on the stain and drip a bit of water over it.
Step 2 – Scrub the Countertop
Scrub the countertop using a nonabrasive scrubbing sponge. You will need to apply a little more time and effort to any stained areas to remove the stains. Then, rinse with a clean sponge and water.
Step 3 – Dry the Countertop
Wipe the countertop with a dry piece of clean cloth. If the stains persist, you will have to use a stronger solution of three tablespoons of ammonia in a half-gallon of water and follow steps two to four.
