Cleaning a mini split air conditioner is an easy and simple task to do compared to cleaning bulky and heavy air conditioners. By following several helpful and little steps, you can easily clean your mini split air conditioner. All you have to do is keep a damp cloth, duster fan, and other tiny tools that are easily available at any shop near you. The most interesting fact related to mini split air conditioners is that it's FCU (Fan Coil Unit) is waterproof. Thus, 90% of its body is resistant to water while only 10% consists of electrical components.
Step 1 - Clean Your Mini Split’s Act Up
Use a strong chemical detergent of non-industrial composition along with a wash bag and a compressed air sprayer. Carefully scrub the grime and dirt off the edges and corners of the mini split and leave it to dry in open air. Avoid using excess water as it may lead to electrical damage.
Step 2 - Scrub Away the Dirt
