Step 1 – Seasonal Cleaning

Step 2 – Remove the Filter

The first thing you will want to do when cleaning your air conditioner is to remove the filter. Then, remove all dust and dirt from the filter with soapy water.

Step 3 – Vacuum the Fins

Located behind the filter are the fins of the evaporator coil. With the hose attachment of your vacuum, vacuum these fins.

Step 4 – Clean the Condenser Coil

Set your air conditioner on the patio or lawn. Cover the air conditioner's motor with a plastic bag. Using a spray nozzle attached to your hose, spray the condenser coil to remove dust and dirt.

Step 5 – Wipe and Dry
