How to Clean Bathroom Ceramic Tile

Bathroom ceramic tile may be problematic to clean, since a lot of bacteria, soap scum and mildew can gather. For your health and comfort, it’s best if you keep the bathroom ceramic tile clean.

You Will Need:

  • Generic tile cleaner or vinegar
  • Water
  • Sponge
  • Dry towels or pieces of cloth
  • Small brush

Step 1 – Remove Dust and Dirt

Get a clean piece of cloth and wipe the ceramic tile walls. This ensures that they they are dust free and will be easier to wash.  

Step 2 – Apply Cleaner on Tile Walls

Spray a generic tile cleaner on your tile walls; allow the cleaner to work on the surface. Alternatively, you may spread diluted vinegar, which is an efficient natural cleaner.

Step 3 – Scrub the Tiles

10 to 20 minutes after applying the cleaning solution, you can start scrubbing the tiles. If there are areas where dirt is difficult to remove, use a small brush, but make sure the brush is soft enough that it won’t scratch the surface of the tiles.

Step 4 – Rinse the Tiles

Use the shower and rinse the tiles. Use a clean sponge to remove the remaining cleaning solution. Use a dry piece of cloth to dry the tiles, to avoid streaking.
