Brick driveway pavers are very popular for use in outdoor areas due to their durability and resistance. However, they obviously need to be cleaned and maintained adequately in order to retain them in a good condition. Here we shall be discussing some basic ways to do so.

Step 1: Sweeping

Start off by making sure to regularly sweep the driveway so as to remove dust and other debris. Give an additional thorough sweeping to the grooves between one paver and the next.

Step 2: Treat Stains

Once you have sweeped the driveway you can get a better look at the condition of the brick pavers. In the case of a driveway it is common to have oil and fuel stains from the vehicles which pass. By sprinkling some cat litter over such patches you will help excess liquids to be absorbed. Allow this to dry up and then sweep away. Now you can treat the stains by applying a paver cleaning solution onto them and scrubbing thoroughly with a deck brush.

Step 3: Wash and Rinse

Finally, use a hose to spray plenty of water over the pavers. This will help to remove other dirt. Mix some suitable detergent in a bucket of water and pour over the pavers. Then scrub further to wash well, and rinse with the hose. Finally squeeze away the excess water with a squeezer.
