How to Clean Cat Poop Off a Comforter

Nothing is more unsightly than cat poop on your bed comforter. Not only is this unhygienic, but the unpleasant odor is very strong and can spread throughout your home. Immediate cleanup is required on your part without going hard on your feline, since even the most trained pets are bound to make mistakes.
Remove Poop
Insert your hand into a plastic or sandwich bag and pick up the pieces of poop. Pull your hand out, turn the bag inside out and tie a tight knot. Dispose the bag containing the poop outdoors.
Apply Upholstery Cleaner
Press a moist cloth or terry towel to the spot and dab it gently for a few minutes. Do not rub because you may spread the fecal particles.
Spray upholstery cleaner designed to remove pet stains to the site and let it sit for at least ten minutes before patting it with a dry cloth.
Remove Odor
Removing cat poop odor is easy. Apply an enzyme based odor eliminator to the soiled part of your comforter and let it sit.
Machine-Wash Comforter
Check the comforter after a few hours. If the stain has gone, blot the area with a dry terry towel and machine-wash. You may need to use a laundry stain remover if traces are still visible.
Air-dry your comforter and spread it on your bed again.
