How to Clean Decorative Rock How to Clean Decorative Rock
If you're looking for a great way to brighten up the interior or exterior of your home, decorative rock should be right up your alley. To keep decorative rock in pristine condition, however, you'll need to clean it on a regular basis.
Step 1 - Dust the Rock
The first step in cleaning your decorative rock is removing any dust. This can be accomplished with the aid of a feather duster, mini vac or a vacuum cleaner with brush attachments. Once your rock has been thoroughly dusted, you'll be ready to move on.
Step 2 - Apply Your Cleaning Solution
Now that you've finished dusting, produce a homemade cleaning solution of white wine vinegar and warm water in an empty spray bottle. Next, apply the cleaner to your decorative rock, paying special attention to any noticeably filth-laden areas. Allow the cleaner to sit for a few minutes, then proceed to vigorously wipe the rock clean with a nonabrasive cloth.
Step 3 - Rinse the Rock
Having cleaned your decorative rock, use a water-filled spray bottle to rinse off your cleaning solution. Follow this up by drying the rock with a dry nonabrasive cloth. For best results, perform this cleaning process at least once a month.
