Washcloth
Vacuum cleaner
Dustbuster
Feather duster

If your faux wood blinds are in need of a good cleaning, you may be wondering how to go about administering it. If so, read on to learn the basics of cleaning faux wood blinds.

Step 1 - Dust Your Blinds

Begin by using a Dustbuster or a vacuum cleaner with blind attachments to get rid of any dust before carrying out the cleaning process. If, for any reason, you don't have access to either of the aforementioned cleaning tools, a feather duster or nonabrasive washcloth can be used in their stead.

Step 2 - Mix Your Cleaning Solution

Now that your blinds are free of dust, you're ready to prepare your cleaning solution. Combine mild dish soap with warm water in a clean bucket, then pour some of the newly formed mixture into an empty spray bottle.

Step 3 - Clean Your Blinds

Having mixed your cleaning solution, you'll now need to lay your faux wood blinds on a flat surface and vigorously spray them with your homemade cleaner. After allowing the solution to sit for several minutes, use a washcloth to wipe away any caked-on dirt or debris. Once the blinds have been sufficiently cleaned, use a clean cloth to dry them off before proceeding to rehang them, as dampness and moisture stand to give way to mold and mildew.
