What You'll Need
Clothes line
Bath tub
Bleach
Paint brush
Mild soap
Toothbrush

Having to clean blinds, especially honeycomb blinds, can be a challenge. You have to make sure that you are getting into the hard to reach spots. Here are a few steps to help you through the process with ease.

Step 1 - Prepare

The first thing that you have to do is remove the blinds. Once they are down, you can prepare the cleaning solution. You will want to mix a small amount of soap with a few inches of water in your tub. If you have lighter blinds, add a few drops of bleach.

Step 2 - Clean

Next, place your blinds into the tub to soak. You can use the paint brush to get in and clean off any dirty spots. You may need a toothbrush to get the hard to reach, smaller areas.

Step 3 - Rinse

Now that you have cleaned the blinds you can drain your tub. Run warm to cold water without replacing the plug. Use this water to rinse the blinds until the soap is gone.

Step 4 - Dry

Allow the blinds to dry. You can either hang them outside on a clothes line or lay them out somewhere you have room. If you lay them out, make sure that you flip them over every few hours.

Once they are dry, you can hang them back up.
