What You'll Need
Warm water
Liquid soap
Wax
Nonabrasive washcloths

If you own any lacquered brass vases, utensils or other items that have accumulated dirt, dust, grease or smudges, it's time to give those items a thorough cleaning. In just a few simple steps, your lacquered brass can be spotless.

Step 1 - Produce Your Cleaning Solution

Before carrying out the cleaning process, you will need to create a suitable brass cleaner. To produce a highly effective homemade cleaning solution for lacquered brass, simply combine 2 cups of warm water with ¼ cup mild liquid soap in a spray bottle. Next, shake the bottle until the solution starts to sud.

Step 2 - Clean Your Brass

Now that you've made your cleaning solution, spray it onto the item you wish to clean, then proceed to vigorously wipe the item with a nonabrasive washcloth. When performing this step, pay special to any smudged or stained areas. Upon removing all dirt, stains and smudges, give the cleaned item a thorough rinsing beneath a warm faucet, after which you must promptly dry it off with a nonabrasive washcloth in order to avoid the formation of water spots.
