What You'll Need
White wine vinegar
Warm water
Empty spray bottle
Commercial mold cleaner
Sponge
Washcloth

If your Roman shades have recently fallen victim to mold infestation, you may be wondering how to remedy the problem. If so, read on to learn everything you'll need to know about making your Roman shades mold-free.

Step 1 - Mix Your Cleaning Solution

Begin by producing a homemade cleaning solution of 1/4 cup of white wine vinegar and 1 cup of warm water. Once the solution has been lightly stirred, pour some of it into an empty spray bottle. Alternatively, you can use a commercial mold cleaner for this task, but the aforementioned homemade solution is all-natural and quite effective in combating mildew, as well as mold.

Step 2 - Apply Your Cleaning Solution

Having mixed your cleaning solution, you'll now need to take down your Roman shades and lay them on a flat surface. Next, use your spray bottle to vigorously apply cleaning solution to any mold-laden areas. After allowing the solution to sit for 1 to 3 minutes, proceed to wipe away any mold deposits with the aid of a sponge or washcloth. Repeat this step until all mold has been purged from your shades.
