How to Clean Polyurethane Glue from Your Hair How to Clean Polyurethane Glue from Your Hair

What You'll Need
Mineral oil

If polyurethane glue has come into contact with your hair, you may be curious about how to remove it. If so, you'll be pleased to learn that getting polyurethane glue out of hair can be a surprisingly stress-free experience.

Step 1 - Apply Your Mineral Oil

Begin the polyurethane glue removal process by thoroughly wetting your hair. A detachable shower head works particularly well for this task. Once your hair is sufficiently soaked, use your hands to apply a tablespoon of mineral oil to the infected spot. Take care to vigorously rub the oil in with your fingers, then use a fine-tooth comb to break apart the glue.

Step 2 - Remove the Glue

You will now need to use your fingers to carefully pull the broken bits of glue out of your hair. Gently grasp the pieces of glue closest to your scalp and proceed to pull them off in an upward fashion. Once all the glue has been successfully removed, vigorously shampoo your hair. After rinsing off the shampoo, inspect your scalp and repeat steps 1 and 2 if any glue remains in your hair.
