Many homeowners like the look of an L-shaped bathroom. This configuration usually gives the person a little more privacy when they are either using the toilet or taking a relaxing bath. Planning an L-shaped bathroom is something that requires a bit of time and vision.

Step 1 - Take Measurements of Existing Bathroom Area

If you already have a bathroom that you want to remodel, you will need to take some measurements for working it into an L-shaped bathroom. If you have an open shell, you still need the dimensions to transfer to your paper. When drawing on the paper, make sure to make the plans to scale.

Step 2 - Draw Outline of Bathroom

Draw the outline for your L-shaped bathroom. You should draw many different configurations. Include the locations of the door and windows.

Step 3 - Plan for Fixtures

A bathroom is not going to be very effective if the fixtures are not positioned accurately. Think about things in terms of water supply lines, drain pipes, and drain vents. Draw them into your drawing so you will have an idea of where they will go.

Step 4 - Add Detail

To finish your bathroom design, you can add some detail about colors, flooring, and lights.
