While you are camping, you will want to be sure that you know how to drain the black water tank. This is important to keep the area sanitized and smelling fresh. Here are a few tools you will need, along with some quick steps to help guide you.

Step 1 - Close Valve

Be sure to put on rubber gloves before you begin. Close the gray water tank valve for at least five hours before you plan on flushing the system.

Step 2 - Hook Up

You will need to place the drain hose into the septic drain. Be sure that it is in completely.

Step 3 - Drain

Now, drain the black water tank by opening up the valve. While this is draining, you may want to attach the wand to the hose and rinse the tank out. Now that you have drained it, you can close that valve and open up the gray one. Once everything has been flushed out and cleaned, you can close the tank valve and make sure that it is completely secure. Take the hose off from the septic tank and clean it if need be.
