While it may seem like a hard job to extend your washing machine drain hose, it actually isn't as difficult as you think. You can buy a kit that has everything you will need or you can get just a few things that will work to put it all together.
Step 1 - Shut the Water Supply Off
Many people overlook this step, but it is important that you turn the water off just in case. You don't want to start opening up things and have a big mess.
Step 2 - Attach Hose
The extension hose should fit right onto the hose that you already have. Push it up to make sure that it is secure.
Step 3 - Clamp It
Take the clamp and attach it to the end so that the hose it tight on there. You want to make sure to make it as tight as needed so that water can't get through.
After you are finished you will want to turn the water supply back on and let a full cycle go by while you are watching it to make sure that you don't have any leaks. Then pat yourself on the back for a job well done and start your next load!
