What You'll Need
New fenders
Ratchet set
Safety glasses

You will find a boat trailer fender situated on both the left and right side of the boat trailer. They are designed to protect the tires on your trailer. If your fenders start to split, rust, or come away, then it is time to replace them, simply remove the old damaged fender and install a shiny new set.

Step 1 - Stop Movement

Place blocks to the front and the back of each trailer tire. This will ensure that the trailer does not move while you are adding the trailer fenders.

Step 2 - Create Mounting Holes

Mark on the step mounting holes. The easiest way to do this is by laying the old fender next to the new fender and marking the holes in the same place. Drill the step mounting holes into the new fender, making sure that you are wearing safety glasses the entire time.

Step 3 - Attach the Boat Trailer Fender

The fender is now ready to be added to the boat trailer, once the protective PVC cover has been removed. Attach the boat trailer fender to the boat trailer using the mounting bolts, ensuring they are tightly in place using a ratchet set.
