Installing a drywall bullnose corner bead is moderately easy and with the right tools and materials, you can done yourself. For best results, install the bullnose corner bead using the mud setting technique.

Step 1 – Cut the Bullnose Corner Bead

Using a bullnose cutter, you need to cut the bullnose corner bead to fit into the corner of your drywall. For best results, the bullnose should lay flush on the outside angle of your drywall.

Step 2 – Install the Bullnose Corner Bead

To install the bullnose corner bead, apply ample amount of adhesive compound on the drywall, and then press the bullnose into the adhesive. You need to press hard to allow the adhesive to fill in the cavities and crevices of the bullnose.

Step 3 – Correct the Angle

After pressing the bullnose into the joint compound, check its alignment and make the necessary adjustments while the joint adhesive is still pliable. You may add more adhesive when necessary.

Step 4 – Remove Excess Adhesive

Scrape off the excess adhesive from the side of the bullnose, then allow the compound to dry. Once the compound is dry, you may sand off the excess materials and polish the bullnose.
