How to Install RV Lights on the Awning

What You'll Need
Measuring tape
Awning light strand
Plastic clips
Extension cord if needed

Not only do RV lights on an awning add to the decor of your camper, they also provide a level of safety. Follow the simple steps below to effectively install clip lights on your RV awning.

Step 1 - Measure the Awning

Begin by getting the dimensions of the awning. Once you have the measurements, you can decide which lights to get. Use a pencil to mark the awning where you want the lights to be.

Step 2 - Attach Clips

Use the plastic clips to hold the lights in place. Place the clips where you marked with your pencil for the lights to go. Tighten them if necessary.

Step 3 - Attach Lights

Now you can unravel the lights and attach them to the awning. Beginning on one side, clip the light onto the awning with the plastic clip you have already set up. Tighten the clip more if need be. Continue to do this with each clip until the lights have all been put up. Be sure to check each clip as you go. Plug in the lights or turn them on to make sure they are working properly.
