Snapping deck tiles are one of the most popular flooring options for an outside space. They are durable, resistant to moisture, and an environmentally friendly product. Here are the basics of how to install snapping deck tiles on your patio.

Step 1- Determine How Much You Need

The first thing that you will want to do is determine exactly how much tile you need. Take your tape measure and get the measurements of the space. Multiply the length and the width of the space. Then add 10% to give you enough waste for cuts.

Step 2- Lock Tiles Together

Snapping deck tiles have a very handy locking system that allows one tile to snap into the next. To start, lay a tile down on the floor where you are installing. Take another tile and then place it directly next to the first tile. Press the second tile into the first tile and lock them together. Many people like to quarter turn the tile so that it makes a nice pattern although you do not have to do this.

Step 3- Cut the Edges

When you get to the edge of the space you will need to cut the edges of the tiles with a saw to make them fit. Place the cut tiles in their space and your floor should be ready to walk on.
