Waterproof car seat covers can protect your car seats from spills and stains caused by pets, kids and more. Installing them correctly is relatively easy. It is important to properly install them so that they don't shift around during operation of the vehicle.
Step 1 - Lift and Remove Headrest
To properly install the waterproof car seat covers, you must first lift the headrest on a seat as far up as it will go. Look for a small hole in each of the two housings for the headrest rods. Push the paperclip or small screwdriver into the holes, release the mechanisms and remove the headrest.
Step 2 - Install Headrest Cover and Seat Cover
You can now install your headrest cover on the headrest. Make sure the slant of the cover matches the slant of the headrest. Put the closed side of the cover over the headrest first and then pull the material over the entire headrest. Use the fasteners on the open side of the material to secure the cover in place. Repeat with the seat cover.
Once the seat cover has been installed, slide the headrest's rods into their housings and snap them into place.
