How to Level a Screen Door

A screen door that is not properly installed is likely not to close properly. This problem should not be taken lightly as it can result in minor accidents at home and can also be a threat to your home’s security. The best solution is to level the screen door yourself.
Check the Level
Before fitting back the door, measure both sides of the door including the top and bottom parts. If measurements are not proportional to each other, you need to replace the door itself.
Unscrew the hinges of the door sides and lay the door on the floor. Find the door frame’s center using your plumb and mark it. Fit the shims to the door frame and place the plumb again in the center. Check if the frame is straight and measure the height of the frame’s two hinges using your level. Mark the spot where the hinges are.
Door Fitting
Put the screen door alongside the hinge frame and alter the opening once through the plump and door level. Use appropriate screws in securing the door to the brick mold. Modify the drip cap so the end result is consistent across the door top. Once the cap is secured, fasten it permanently.
