How to Make an Air Suction Dent Puller

A suction dent puller is commonly used to do away with more expensive repairing methods. Dents are easily caused on cars, and it is a good idea to repair them yourself, using a simple air suction dent puller which you can make up yourself as well.

Tools and Materials Needed:

  • Suction Cups
  • U-shaped metal bar
  • Wing Nut
  • Bolt
  • Drill

Step 1: Acquire Tools and Materials

You could opt to purchase a dent removal kit, but making a diy air suction dent puller is very easy and much cheaper. Simply acquire the tools and materials listed above.

Step 2: Attach Suction Cups at the Ends

Start off by fixing one of the suction cups to one end of the u-shaped metal bar. You can fix it by using some epoxy glue. Repeat the same procedure to the other suction cup by attaching it at the other end of the metallic bar.

Step 3: Attach the Middle Suction Cup

Next, attach a suction cup in the middle part of the metal bar. Drill a hole in the center of the metallic bar for the bolt to fit through. Then, by tightening the nut to the bolt you will be pulling the dent by means of the pressure applied by the suctioning cup. In fact, this suctioning cup will be the one actually used to pull the dent, whereas the other 2 suction cups affixed previously, are mainly intended to be fixed to the car during the suctioning process. They will also provide added stability.
