How to Make Christmas Tree Candles

Christmas tree candles are very easy to make and are a favorite DIY project for many craft makers. Here is a simple guide on how to make candles.

Tools and Materials Needed:

  • Soy wax
  • Candle dye
  • Fragrance oil
  • Wick
  • Pillar candle molds
  • Double boiler pan
  • Mixing spoon
  • Knitting needle
  • Wick rod
  • Ribbons, lace, and other decorative embellishments
  • Mini mistletoe or poinsettia

Step 1 – Heat the wax

Place the soy wax inside a double boiler pan and set the heat setting to low. Stir the melted wax occasionally. Turn off the heat once the wax becomes a liquid. While the candle is melting, insert the wick through the candle mold. Rub oil into the candle mold so that the candle is easier to remove.

Step 2 –Pour the candle wax

Pour the melted wax into the mold and add the color and fragrance. Use Christmas colors like green, red or yellow. Allow the wax to dry and harden for 24 hours. The next day take it out gently.

Step 3 – Decorate the candle

Decorate the candle with a ribbon around the candle. In the middle of the ribbon, put a poinsettia or mistletoe to complete the look.
